Welcome to the website of the Gîte de l'Etang Jaune.

The "Gîte" (inn in old french) is our family house since its construction around 1870. Several time extended, the house was renovated in 2007 after having spent several decades unoccupied. It has now 5 bedrooms and 4 up-to-date bathrooms, 5 toilets, an inside staircase, a large living, a dining and a big well-equipped kitchen. The house has all modern comfort: linen and bedding of prime quality, a nice and refined decoration, and is furnished with antique family furniture. This is our family jewel that we would be happy to share with you, who have decided to visit this beautiful part of France.

The "Gîte" has its own history that you will be able to read pretty soon.

	Built in the XIX century, this 3-level house sit in a hilly 6 acres family property with old oak trees and an ancient sandstone quarry from which the stone were extracted to built the house. There is a small stream crossing the property and a little fishy pond.
The "Gîte" has large bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen with adjacent dining, a large living with a fire place, an outside opened sunny terrace, part of it is shaded by an old vine. The house is located at approximately 28 km East of Nevers and at 20 km from Magny-Cours (ex French Formula 1), in an area known for its history, its old villages, its abbeys, castles, vineyards and gastronomy.
	Upon request we rent another cottage located on the same land at 50m approximately called OUCHE. This cottage has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a toilet, a living room and a kitchen.It may be very usefull for large groups.
